Guzhang tea shines at 16th Hunan Tea Expo

The 16th Hunan Tea Expo opened at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Changsha City on September 6, attracting tea industry leaders across the province and even the country.

As an important tea producing area in Hunan, representatives of tea enterprises in Guzhang County attended the expo, showcasing the unique charm and excellent quality of their tea, becoming a major highlight of this expo. At the expo site, the Guzhang exhibition area was bustling with people for Guzhang Maojian Tea and Guzhang Black Tea. Guzhang Maojian is known for its emerald green color, fragrant aroma, and refreshing taste, which is favored by many tea lovers.

In addition, the tea enterprises also participated in various activities of the Tea Expo, such as tea art performances, expert tea tasting lectures, and tea culture lectures, which enriched the content of the Tea Expo and enhanced the reputation of Guzhang tea. At the event, Guzhang County was included among the “Top Ten Leading Counties for Hunan Tea New-quality Productivity in 2024”. Guzhang County Tea Bureau was awarded the Excellent Organization Award of the 16th Hunan Tea Industry Expo in 2024.

Long Lingzhi, executive director of Xiangxi Niujiaoshan Ecological Agriculture Technology Development Co., Ltd., was listed among the “Top Ten Emerging Figures for Hunan Tea New-quality Productivity in 2024”.

Guzhang Maojian Tea of Xiangxi Niujiaoshan Ecological Agriculture Technology Development and Golden Tea No. 8 of Guzhang County Sandaohe Tea Factory were awarded the 2024 “Tea Ancestor Shenlong Cup” five-star green tea products. Guzhang Black Tea of Xiangxi Niujiaoshan Ecological Agriculture Technology Development and Guzhanghong of Hunan Zhengshantang Tea Industry Co., Ltd. have also been awarded the 2024 five-star black tea products.

According to the Hunan Tea Industry Association, Guzhang County, as one of the important tea producing areas in Hunan, regards the tea industry as a pillar industry for rural revitalization and makes efforts to improve tea quality. The tea enterprises from Guzhang County attended the Tea Expo to showcase the unique charm and excellent quality of tea and provide a platform for exchange and cooperation in the tea industry across the province. In the future, Gizhang County will increase support for the main tea producing areas and promote Hunan tea to enter a broader market.
